Reaching the editor and what to report

This page explains how to contact the editor, what kinds of messages are useful, and what this desk cannot answer. The address is editor@usstockbrokerin.com.

Email: editor@usstockbrokerin.com

Who runs this desk

Held at the Door is an independent editorial desk. It is not a broker, not an exchange, not a licensed adviser, and it holds no client money. The editor named on the pages is Aditi Ranganathan, Editor, cross-border money. She is the person responsible for what the site states.

Nothing on the site is investment advice, a recommendation or an offer. The figures describe what things cost, not what a reader should do. The site has no accounts, no login, no newsletter and no comment form. It sets no cookie of its own, runs no analytics and stores nothing in the reader's browser.

What is worth writing about

Write to the address on the contact page when a figure looks wrong, a source has moved or closed, or you have a question about how the measurement is taken. Corrections are the reason the address exists. A reader can check every figure at its publisher because the sources are named under every table, with a link.

If a figure is wrong, the desk corrects it and dates the correction on the page. The threshold, the rate and the ceiling are quoted from the rule as enacted. The rupee and dollar columns are recalculated at a live rate read from two independent sources. What a bank adds to that rate is not published by any of them, so it is not in this table.

What this desk cannot answer

This desk cannot give personal investment advice, help with a broker's account, or tips. It does not answer questions about what a reader should do with their money. The site links to one broker, FxPro, through an affiliate link, and is paid a commission if a reader opens an account there. The reader pays nothing to this site and nothing extra at the broker.

The broker's own site is operated by someone else, under its own terms and its own privacy policy, and following the link leaves this site. The pages are served by a hosting provider which, like any web host, keeps its own technical request logs. The site's publisher does not read a reader's personal data out of them.

What happens after you write

Writing to the address on the contact page reaches the editor. The editor reads messages about figures, sources, measurement questions, and corrections. The desk does not promise a reply to every message, but a correction that is needed is made and dated on the page.

A correction is not hidden. It is shown with the date it was made, so a reader can see what changed and when. This page itself is part of the same site, so it follows the same rules: no accounts, no cookies, no tracking, and no personal data stored by the publisher.
